Configurations
A cartoning machine erects a flat carton blank, loads the product, closes the flaps and seals them shut, turning flat board into a retail-ready box. An operator loads product or cartons at one or more stations while the machine handles erection, closing and sealing. The lower-cost entry point for start-ups and multi-format runs.

Choosing: shrink wrap vs cartons for transport
Specifications
A cartoning machine is specified by output and sealing type first, product fit second. The models cover 30 to 180 boxes a minute, sealed by hot-melt gluing or fold closure.
Sizing the machine. Match target output to a model, then confirm your box size and sealing preference. Several models are built for specific applications — blisters (125B), injection medicines (125K), bottles (125P) — while others suit a general product range.
Hot-melt gluing gives a permanent seal; folding or gluing configurations offer flexibility across pack types. Air pressure is 0.6–0.8 MPa across every model.
Output ranges from 30 boxes/min on the smallest models up to 180 on the SAP-200 and SAP-300. A bottle cartoner we have supplied forms, loads and seals cartons automatically at 15 to 30 a minute, holding 400 to 600 flat cartons in its magazine. About the machine
A cartoning machine erects a flat carton blank into a box, loads the product through the open side, closes the flaps, and seals them shut with hot-melt glue or a tuck closure — turning flat board into a retail-ready box at up to 180 cartons a minute.
The cycle runs in these steps.
Carton size, glue pattern and closure settings are set per product and held in the machine controls, so a changeover between box sizes is a settings adjustment.
Upstream the product arrives from filling, labelling or bundling; downstream the sealed carton feeds case packing or palletising.

End of line
Case packing is the end-of-line step after the retail pack: finished packs, bottles or cartons are loaded into a larger shipping carton. We supply case packing as part of a cartoning line, and because it is more involved than retail cartoning, each case packer is specified to your product and your case.
On an end-of-line system we have supplied for shrink-wrapped retail cartons, a hot-melt case erector forms up to 10 cases a minute in sizes from 250 × 140 × 150 mm to 600 × 400 × 450 mm. A double-servo robotic arm case packer picks and places up to 20 cartons a minute, handling up to 40 kg, with quick-locking grippers that change without tools. A check weigher checks each case to within 10 g and pushes out any that are wrong, a hot-melt case sealer closes up to 15 cases a minute, a top labeller labels each case, and a collaborative robot palletiser stacks cases of up to 30 kg, gripper included, onto the pallet. The line has interlocked safety doors, emergency stops at every key station and a three-colour status light on each unit. After palletising, loads are usually stretch-wrapped for dispatch on a pallet wrapping machine.
How the product goes into the case. A robotic arm picks the packs and places them into the carton, or a stacker builds the packs into a stack that is loaded into the case. The case is then closed and sealed for dispatch.
