A South African manufacturer needed to fill a liquid into 5 to 50 ml round glass bottles, protect it with nitrogen, and close each bottle with an inner cap and a screw cap before labelling. We supplied a line with an accumulation table, nitrogen flushing, a two-head peristaltic filler and capper and a round-bottle labeller, rated at 15 to 20 bottles a minute.
The customer fills a liquid product into small round glass bottles of 5 to 50 ml. Each bottle takes two closures, an inner cap pressed into the neck and a screw cap over it, and the product is protected with nitrogen before it is filled.
The customer needed filling, capping and labelling in one line, with nitrogen protection and two closures on every bottle.
Doses of 5 to 50 ml had to be filled to within ±2%.
An inner cap pressed into the neck, then a screw cap tightened over it.
Each bottle flushed with nitrogen before it is filled, to protect the product.
We supplied a complete line rather than a single filler: an accumulation table that feeds the bottles, nitrogen flushing, a filler and capper on a rotary table, and a round-bottle labeller. The filler uses a two-head peristaltic pump, which suits small, accurate doses because the product stays inside the tube. Vibratory sorters feed both caps: the inner cap is pressed in, then the outer cap is screwed on by a single capping head. Contact parts are SUS316 stainless steel, silica gel and PTFE on a SUS304 frame.

Bottles leave the accumulation table, are flushed with nitrogen, filled, capped and labelled, and finish on the collection table.
| Line | Accumulation table, nitrogen flushing, filler and capper, labeller |
| Bottles | 5 to 50 ml round glass bottles |
| Filling | 2-head peristaltic pump, ±2% |
| Caps | Inner cap pressed in, outer screw cap; vibratory cap sorters |
| Capping heads | 1 |
| Labelling | Round-bottle labeller, 15 to 20 labels a minute |
| Output | 15 to 20 bottles a minute |
| Controls | PLC with touch screen |
The line was rated in our workshop at 15 to 20 bottles a minute on 5 to 50 ml bottles, with fills to within ±2% and both caps fitted without an operator.
Bottles move from the accumulation table to the collection table without being handled.
A peristaltic pump doses each bottle from 5 ml upwards.
Vibratory sorters feed the inner caps and outer caps to the capping station.
