Industrial packaging machinery supplied from Johannesburg to manufacturers across Namibia.
We supply flow wrap, VFFS, HFFS, filling, labelling and shrink wrapping machines to producers in Namibia. The full range is available on the same terms as for a buyer in Johannesburg. The machine that suits you depends on your product, your packaging film and your required output.
Namibian producers most often ask for vacuum-ready horizontal formats, weigher-fed VFFS lines and bottling equipment. This reflects what the country packs: fish and marine product at Walvis Bay, meat and game inland, and bottled water nationwide. Any machine can be specified to suit your product and plant conditions, including plants on the coast.
Send us your product and we will test it before you buy. Courier us your product, the packaging film you intend to use and the carton you pack into. We run a sample batch on the recommended machine and send you the results. No deposit is required for the trial.
We have not yet installed a machine in Namibia. Across Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Zambia we have delivered all four of the machine types listed on this page, being shrink wrap, flow wrap, vertical form-fill-seal and horizontal form-fill-seal, as well as multihead-weigher systems. We have also air freighted machines directly to clients in Nigeria.

A machine for Namibia is quoted exactly as it would be for a South African buyer, around your product, pack format, output and level of automation, with installation and operator training included. What changes is the leg from Johannesburg and the clearing at the Ariamsvlei crossing. Those sit with you, and the split is set out below and in full in our guide to exporting packaging machines.
Our quoted price includes sea freight from the factory to our workshop in Riversands, Johannesburg, which is our only premises in South Africa. There are two ways to move the machine from there into Namibia, and a third option if you can fill a container. Collecting from Johannesburg is usually the more affordable route.
The machine arrives at Riversands as part of our normal sea shipment, and this freight is already included in the quoted price. Transport from our workshop into Namibia is then arranged by you.
For some machines we can air freight the unit directly to your country instead of routing it through Johannesburg. We supplied our clients in Nigeria this way.
Namibia has a deep-water port at Walvis Bay, so a direct sea shipment is possible if you are prepared to take a full container. We normally book whole containers and consolidate several customers’ machines into each one, so a shared container cannot be redirected to a single buyer. Tell us the machine and we will price a full container to Walvis Bay against the road route through Nakop.
Machines leave our Riversands workshop in Johannesburg and travel the N14 through Upington to the Nakop and Ariamsvlei crossing. It is roughly 1,400 km to Windhoek and about 1,750 km on to Walvis Bay. Most clients appoint a courier that handles the border formalities. Our technicians then travel to site to install and commission the machine.
Lead time is the same as for a South African buyer: a machine we hold at Riversands is ready once payment clears, and one that is not in stock takes 10 to 12 weeks from deposit. Transport from Johannesburg and clearing at the border are on top of that, and the export guide sets out the full sequence.
We supply and support producers across the region from the same Johannesburg workshop, including Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, Lesotho and Malawi. See every area we cover on our service areas page.
Ratings and reviews are published on our Google Business Profile, where they can be read in full and in context.
Highly recommended! Excellent customer service, great prices, and they always go above and beyond.
These are the questions we are asked most often by producers in Namibia. Clearing, warranty, air freight and the rest of the export process are set out in full on our guide to exporting packaging machines from South Africa.
The road run goes out on the N14 through Upington to the Nakop and Ariamsvlei crossing, roughly 1,400 km to Windhoek and about 1,750 km on to Walvis Bay. It is a long haul, so most Namibian buyers appoint a courier who handles the crossing rather than sending their own vehicle.
Our technicians travel to your plant to commission the machine and train your operators, both included in the quote. The distance means flights are usually more sensible than driving, and the flights, accommodation, meals, local transport and days on site are arranged and paid by you.
Wear parts are held in Johannesburg and couriered to you. On a 1,400 km corridor that still beats an eight to twelve week factory order by a wide margin. Allow for clearing at Ariamsvlei on top of the courier transit time, and order consumables before you run out.
We start remotely, on a phone or video call with your operator at the machine, which matters more the further away you are. Faults have so far been resolved this way without a trip. If a visit becomes necessary we will arrange it and you cover the travel.
Quotes are in rand, which the Namibian dollar is pegged to, and we can restate the figure on request with the rate and date noted. Terms are 50% deposit and the balance before delivery, with larger projects structured around the Factory Acceptance Test.
Tell us what you are packing and where in Namibia the machine is going. We need the product, the pack format, your target output, your electrical supply and the town. We will then recommend a suitable machine, quote the price, and compare the cost of collecting from Johannesburg against air freight.
